Laura Hilgeman Miller is co-concertmaster of the Palm Beach Opera. She was a member of the Florida Philharmonic, Honolulu, and Charleston Symphony Orchestras and associate concertmaster of the Colorado Music Festival. Ms. Miller previously held the position of co-concertmaster with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the New World Symphony, and the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds. She has performed in Russia, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Italy with Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, throughout Japan with Pacific Music Festival, and also in France, Great Britain, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Ms. Miller appears on two Grammy nominated recordings: Wolf Trap Opera’s Volpone, and New World Symphony’s Tangazo. She also recorded with pop Latin group Mana, on their album Unplugged. Ms. Miller graduated in 1988 with high distinction from Indiana University, Bloomington. In 1990, she received her M.M. with honors from Roosevelt University. She maintains an active schedule during the summer as principal second of Wolf Trap Opera. She and her husband, French hornist, Gregory Miller have six children.
