KEVIN HE, violin, was born in 1971 in Shanghai, P.R. China. He started the violin at the age of four and graduated from the pre-college of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music at age 19. He is currently a member of the Virginia Symphony. Before he joined the Virginia Symphony in 2001, Mr. He was the concertmaster of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago under the baton of Daniel Barenboim and Pierre Boulez. As a soloist, Mr. He has played with the Shanghai Symphony, Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra and the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra. Mr. He received his B.M. degree from the University of Washington Symphony orchestra and M.M. degree in violin performance from Northwestern University.
